The Perks of Speaking more Than a Language

This week, I would write about the second part of last post (about little tips for learning a language easily).

But it hit me today that I do need to write about the perks of learning a language. I decided to write about it because many people who don't learn languages don't understand how it feels to be able to do some things like the ones I will write here...

1. Meeting more people and learning more about their countries by their own source.
It's undeniable. We are social as humans. And for those who like to explore and learn about other stuff, different than ours... That does make us happier, and change us by people.

2. It helps us to discover much about our own personalities.
There are some resources that state we have got variations on our personalities while speaking a language. For me, personally, it fits perfectly. I never felt the urge to describe, but I feel the differences, as an example, when I speak Italian, it feels so different, it sounds really expressive for me, therefore, I am really expressive when I chat in this language...

3. We have got a wide bigger source of information online.
Due to the diffusion of the internet, it became really easy to find information, although, there are some things that have not been translated so far. For example, I can learn for free a new language which I would have to pay for material in my native language online. Expanding not only our horizons, but making new opportunities to reality.

4. We become more social.
I don't know whether that is common sense, but for me it works. I mean, I can't deny that since the first day I started to learn my second language until now, I changed and became a lot more sociable... (Hey, wait up, I was not anti-social before lol). But when we learn a language, we have got to expose ourselves to the language by chatting and having any forms of contact whatsoever. It does make us develop many other social skills...

5. It is just awesome!!
To conclude this post, there is nothing more to say but that languages are awesome and, of course, our self-esteem improves to a higher level. We feel capable of doing anything, we feel like the world is ours...

THAT, my friend, is priceless!

I will see you next week!

Little (and simple) ways to immerge oneself in a language - Part 1

Hello guys, in today's post, I am going to give you some small tips to learn a language with some really simple acts...

For starters, please read both parts of the post in which I talk about the way I learn languages. If you didn't read it and don't feel like right now I am updating you right now... it all comes down to adapting with a language without learning it. And this process I am going to talk about now takes place exactly after you have adapted with the language or know some simple words... it will give you some concept.

Well, I will try to make some simple topics and write more parts of it as long as I remember stuff to tell you, so here it goes... one tip per post...

First one:

- Switch your cellphone to the language you're learning, and be sure to 'force' yourself to understand what's written.
Okay, okay, I am going to explain...

I recommend this regarding you're already used to your cellphone and the way of using is already 'automatic'... it won't take you so long to start understanding it... perhaps in a month you'll be ready to read some simple phrases in the language...  it seems easy, doesn't it?

Well, it might seem weird but it is extremely useful!

Anyway, it was this week's post and I will see you next week!!

Peace out, Vinícius Arré!

Dropping a language

Hello readers!
In today's post, I am going to talk about something that I see it can be some sort of taboo. Which is dropping languages.
Before thinking of a rude word to type as a commentary, please, give me two paragraphs to convince you otherwise. Okay? So, go!
Well, as I wrote before, to learn a language naturally, one should make it fun and part of one's life. What if it doesn't happen?  Should the person drop the language? Most people would say no, but it depends, in my humble opinion. Why? There you go: if you didn't fall for the language and are feeling it's not going to happen, try harder! But of you did and it looks like things didn't change, try to think of the reason why you're learning the language.
Did I get your attention? So, keep reading... I can share my experience with German to give you some fact. I couldn't manage to fall in love with the language. It DOESN'T mean I don't like the language. I didn't give up for an eternity. I'd never say never, but my gut tells me to start learning Japanese, well, I am gonna go on with that and after, I will speak our lovely DEUTSCH.

Did I convince you? I hope I did, comment if you will!

Conclusion: follow your gut and don't oblige yourself to learn something you feel things are working out to. Languages should be a source of fun, if you get this point, then you're fine!

I will see you next week! Bye!
